We are the Center for Pattern Recognition and Data Mining. We aim at conducting basic and applied research in the field of Pattern Recognition and its application to Data and Text Mining. Our center originated from a group of proffessors from the Computer Science Department at the Universidad de Oriente, whose proffessional quality has been assured by over half a decade of excellence.

We conduct research including the development of algorithms for processing and analyzing large volumes of structured or textual information. We teach graduate courses on Pattern Recognition, as part of the Computer Science master's program.
